A hidden gem in Notting Hill since 1998, The Jackson was founded by sisters, former fashion PR Joey and costumer designer Louise Jackson. A desire for a stage with props led to a shop where dressing up is not just for the young and colour is obligatory.
The beautiful and durable hand-crafted jute “word-bags” from The Jacksons are a joyous outcome of the design collaboration between Louise and the skilful handicraft workers in south-west Bangladesh.
The Jacksons are doing more than just designing and creating a brand: they continue to strive to help overcome poverty and improve the women’s social standing.
